Ugo Basile抓力計可自動測量大、小鼠前肢抓力（前肢的峰值力和阻力），也通過選擇測量后肢抓力?？捎糜谠u估**、**、肌肉松弛劑、**、衰老及神經(jīng)損傷等對肌肉力量的影響。
將受試動物置于實驗臺上，頭前方為裝有力傳感器的抓桿（可能是T型的，也可能是網(wǎng)狀的或者是可供選擇的其他類型抓桿），抓桿高度可調(diào)。抓力工具有力傳感器連接到一個峰值力測定儀。當(dāng)實驗人員拖動動物的尾巴時，該動物會為了阻止非本意的向后運(yùn)動而本能的抓住前方的抓桿，直到實驗人員的拉力超過它的*大抓力。當(dāng)動物松開抓桿時，儀器會自動記錄*大力值，并顯示在液晶屏上。
儀器有一個具有內(nèi)存功能的控制器和新的DCA軟件，便于信號監(jiān)測、數(shù)據(jù)轉(zhuǎn)換和分析。保存的數(shù)據(jù)可以在控制器上瀏覽，也可以傳輸?shù)诫娔X上，有 Excel (.xlps)或者text (.txt) 形式，可以基本滿足大部分?jǐn)?shù)據(jù)處理的需求。
